Provides Weight Loss

The other day I heard a statistic that should not have surprised me, but it did.

He said that something like 65% of the snacks, eating out of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, occurs while people are simply resting watching television.

Almost at the same time, I read a publication in our weight loss forum where a new member stated that their biggest problem and the reason they had not managed to lose weight in the last ten years was boredom.

Boredom is certainly a problem of the first world and may be one of the reasons why the population in most first world countries is becoming increasingly obese.

There is no doubt that food and drink are used by many as a distraction, and are used to improve entertainment, such as watching television, going to the movies, going to a show, going to a game, etc.

Boredom also prevents many of us from reaching our goals, including our weight loss goals.

I have always wondered why many people with whom I have encountered so much in my professional and personal life seem to have in common the tendency to not finish things.

Could this be partly, or even mostly, the result of boredom?

Going back to the publication of the weight loss forum I mentioned earlier, the member mentioned that each time they started a new diet plan or exercise program, they gave up before reaching their goals because they got bored.

Like this person, who decided to publicly call his excuses, could he benefit from recognizing this as a problem and finally do something about it?

Because the other forum members had similar experiences and used similar excuses, and in many cases managed to overcome them, they had some wonderful advice and a difficult love to give to this new member.

We especially loved one of the response posts from one of the most active members that we have included below.

This Forum has to do with support, encouragement, and responsibility. The beauty of the people here is that we are all on the same page. We all know the daily struggles, the excuses, the mental games and things we went through. You will find practical help and understanding here, and yes ... a touch of
"hard love" when necessary!

If you think boredom can make you fat or keep you that way, you can do something about it. To begin, you can see the weight loss forum and see what others are doing.

Good luck on your weight loss journey and

thanks for visiting
